BONDS, MABEL WHITE - age 88 of Knoxville, passed away June 15, 2012. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Preceded by her husband Kenneth B. Bonds; parents Alex and Nellie White; brother Bruce White. Survived by her daughter, Linda E. Bonds; sister, Rachel Fawver and husband Earl of Knoxville, Anna Mae Petty of Florida; special nieces, Patsy O'Hara and Carolyn Ensminger. Mabel was known for her smile, love of life, and always being on the go. She and her late husband enjoyed most sports and attended both the Vol Football and Basketball games for many years. A graduate of Carter High School, Mabel lived most of her life in the Sunny View Community on Asheville Hwy. but after the death of her husband in 2004, Mabel moved to the Echo Ridge Retirement Home in West Knoxville to be near her daughter. A special thank you to Covenant Hospice. Visitation services will be Monday, June 18, 2012 from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. at Bridges Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Bob Dustman officiating. Interment services will follow at Eastview Memorial Gardens.
