On Saturday May the 21st at 3 a.m., Jefferson Nye departed this life after an illness of several months. The funeral procession left the house at 2 o'clock Sunday, and headed by the band, marched to the M.E. church where the services were conducted by Rev. Hollin, assisted by Rev. Gibson. Mr. Nye had lived in Clyde since '78, and the large attendance at the funeral testifies to the fact that he was held in high esteem by our citizens. He died young, in the prime of manhood, being 30 years old. A wife and two children are left to mourn his loss, the oldest child is 5 years and the youngest 3. Mr. Nye was engaged in the Jewelery business, and was known an an honest and upright business man. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of the entire community.
