He was born in West Earl Twp., a son of the late Jacob and Annie Shelly Rissler, was a farmer by occupation, and a member of the Bowmansville Mennonite Church. His wife, the former Lizzie Hurst, died last November.
Surviving are these children, Paul Rissler, East Earl R1; Abram Rissler, Narvon R1; Amos Rissler, Denver R1; Esther, wife of George M. Zimmerman, New Holland R1; Edna, wife of Harvey Wenger, Terre Hill; Lizzie, wife of David Martin, Narvon R2; Anna, wife of Reuben Martin, Narvon R1; Katie, wife of Rufus Hoover; Ivan, Mabel, and Mary Rissler, all at home.
Also surviving are 34 grandchildren; and these brothers and sisters, John Rissler, Bareville R1; Katie, wife of Clayton Zimmerman, Ephrata R1; Daniel Rissler, and Lydia, wife of Amos Martin, both of Denver R1; Annie, wife of Phares Eberly, New Holland R1; and Jacob Rissler, Leacock.
