TURBEVILLE - Samuel Mark Baird, 80, widower of Jane Louise Coker Baird, died Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Tuomey Hospital. Born May 28, 1932, in Turbeville, he was the son of the late Raleigh and Ethel Corbett Baird. He was owner and operator of SMB Utilities and a member of Turbeville Southern Methodist Church. He is survived by two daughters, Ginger Baird Keels and husband Kenny of Turbeville and Peggy Baird Andrews and husband Eddie of Lincolnton, NC; a son, Samuel Marcus Baird Jr. of Turbeville; two brothers, Herman Baird and wife Joyce of Turbeville and Will Baird and wife Frances of Manning; a sister, Lila Wingard of Turbeville; and three grandchildren, Ken Keels and wife Taylor of Florence, Drew Andrews and Maggie Andrews, both of Lincolnton, NC. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde and Cecil Baird. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 11, 2012, in the Turbeville Southern Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. A.E. Andrews III officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service in the church sanctuary. Stephens Funeral Home & Crematory, 304 N.
