KEWANEE, IL - Robert D. Gladfelter, 65, of Kewanee, IL died at 10:48 A.M. Thursday, June 7, 2012 at hi home.

Bob was born July 6, 1946 in Artesia, New Mexico the son of John Fredrick Gladfelter and Colita M. (Youtsey) Gladfelter. The family moved to Kewanee in the early 1950's where Bob graduated from Wethersfield High School in 1962. He served in the Army in Vietnam from 1967-1968.

Bob married Joyce Lowe on August 17, 1982. They were later divorced. Surviving is a daughter Robin (Mark) Morrell of Mundelein, IL, three grandchildren Matthew Gladfelter Kyle Gladfelter and Michelle Curry, one great grandson Isaiah Curry and two brothers Gary Taylor of Chicago, IL and Donald Gladfelter of Laguna Hills, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bob was employed as a laborer/sandblaster working throughout the area and out of the local labor hall. He enjoyed Fishing, boating, road trips and old time rock ‘n roll.

Cremation will be accorded. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.

The Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, Kewanee, Il. is in charge of arrangements.
