Nanticoke Man Dies of Mine Injuries
Samuel Petkoski, 28, of 427 East Union Street, Nanticoke, died yesterday morning at 2:55 in Nanticoke State Hospital of injuries received Monday, when he was hit by a trip of mine cars while at work at Truesdale Colliary, Glen Alden Coal Company.
Deceased was born in Glen Lyon and lived in Nanticoke 24 years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church, Nanticoke. His mother, Anna Petkoski, an invalid for 12 years, died three months ago and his father died about three years ago.
Surviving are these brothers and sisters: Anna at home; Mrs. Donald Stadulis, Wilkes-Barre; Mrs. Michael Price and Ignatz Petkoski, both of Nanticoke.
