Mr. Trudy James Norris 95 of Swifton, Arkansas died on Friday June 15, 2012 at Newport. He was born September 21, 1916 the son of Mr. Holman and Mrs. Emma (Stroud) Norris.
Mr. Norris was a farmer and was retired from Tyson. He loved caring for his wife Lena who preceded him in death. Gardening, fishing, whittling were his favorite hobbies and spent his spare time building birdhouses.
Mr. Norris is survived by one son Bobby Norris of Springdale, Arkansas, three daughters; Wanda Melton of Newport, Arkansas, Mildred Davison of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Elda Lowhorn of Akron, Indiana; eight grandchildren: eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Jackson's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Dowell's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday 1:00 p.m. till service time.
Pallbearers will be Bud Melton, Kevin Melton, Tommy Jones, Steve Stark, Matt Stark and Ty Honey.
