Dean Nicholl, 82, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2012 in the Ohio Masonic Home. He was born on October 26, 1929 in Springfield, the son of Audley D. and Bessie (Strauss) Nicholl.
He served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War and retired from the Northridge Bowling Lanes as manager after forty-eight years of service. Dean was an avid bowler and Ohio State University fan.
He is survived by his wife Sandra (Sions) Nicholl of Springfield, four sons and daughters-in-law: Gary
and Judy Nicholl of Piqua, Gregg and Amy Nicholl of Middletown, Lonnie and Connie Nicholl of Plymouth, Indiana, and Steve and Annie Nicholl of Springfield; sixteen grandchildren, two brothers: Larry Nicholl and Ken Nicholl both of Springfield, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Phyllis.
Friends may call from 2-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2012 in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.
Graveside services will follow the visitation in Ferncliff Cemetery at 3:30 p.m.
