Merle Marie Eldredge Smith, age 95, passed away June 28, 2004 in Orem, Utah. Born Sept. 25, 1908 in Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of Ashton Nebeker and Clarissa Amelia Hulse Eldredge. Married Aaron Floyd Smith Nov. 20, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah; solemnized Sept. 30, 1943 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death June 17, 1984. Member of DUP. Served in all auxiliaries of the LDS Church. Worked as a secretary for Granite School District for many years. We will miss her personal recitations, especially "Galvanized Tub" and "Leecy Society Plate". Survived by children, Irene Bonbrake, Augusta, KS; Thomas F. (Barbara), Centerville; Joanne (Richard) Loosli, Orem; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; brother, Frederick Eldredge, Littleton, CO. Preceded in death by husband; son, Richard A.; two grandchildren; two brothers; three sisters. Interment, Taylorsville Cemetery.
