Ness City — Sharon Kay Werth, 60, died May 4 at Hutchinson Hospital, Hutchinson. Born Dec. 7, 1947, in Hays, she was the daughter of Henry and Leah Wittig Schneidewind. A lifetime resident of Ness County, she was a homemaker.

She married Richard Gabel in Ness City. He died Sept. 17, 1974. She married Richard Werth on June 3, 1978, in Ness City. Mrs. Werth was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Altar Society, both of Ness City.

Other survivors include her son, Darren Werth; a brother, Harold Schneidewind of Great Bend; a sister, Gloria Vogel of Hays; and two grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Henry Hildebrandt presiding. Burial will be at the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
