Raymond Clare Clement (77), the son of Guy Gilbert and Jennie (Bee) Clement, was born November 30, 1897, in Mira Valley of Valley County, Nebr., and died at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Kearney, Nebr., on June 25, 1975.

He was married to Beulah Gates on June 5, 1938. Their home was always Mira Valley. His interests were wide and his influence great in the farming, cattle raising, conservation and State Fair activities in Nebraska. These were not his only interests. He was a faithful member of the Seventh Day Baptist Church of North Loup and served it, not only as an elected officer for many years. but also as an elder statesman whose wisdom was prized. All through his adult life, his faith was assured.

He is survived by his wife, Beulah; his brother, George of Mira Valley; two sisters: Mrs. Elva Hayden of Fairbury, Nebr., and Mrs. Mary Bell of Mira Valley; and a number of nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were conducted from the North Loup Seventh Day Baptist Church on June 30, 1975, by his pastor, the Rev. Victor W. Skaggs, with burial in Hillside Cemetery, North Loup.
