OSCEOLA - Heather M. Baker, 23, of Osceola, IN, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2012. Heather was born on December 19, 1988 in South Bend to Jon and Terri (Mead) Baker. She was a 2007 graduate of Jimtown High School and received her Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Brown Mackie College. Survivors include her parents, Jon and Terri Baker of Osceola, IN; two sisters, Jaimee Baker and Jori Baker, both of Tampa, FL; one brother, Brandon Baker of Osceola, IN; her maternal grandparents, George and Beverly Smith of South Bend, IN; her paternal grandmother, Ruth Baker of Walkerton, IN; her maternal great-grandfather, Fred Gnott of South Bend, IN; her aunts and uncles, Suzanne (Jerry Smith) Wood of Plymouth, IN, Scott (Christine) Mead of Avon Park, FL, Mark Mead of Niles, MI, Michael (Rhonda) Smith of LaPorte, IN, Cindy (Jeff) Gastel of Carlock, IL, and Jennifer Smith of Mishawaka, IN; her great-aunts and great-uncles, Debbie and Joe Zaworski and Diane and Cas Gorski; her two Godmothers, Barbara Magiera and Bette Baker; her Godfather, Ken Magiera; and by many loved cousins. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 18, 2012 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 until 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Along with being active in bowling and softball, Heather was also in the marching band her freshman year and a loyal Notre Dame fan.
