Jacob Kinneman was born on January 25, 1839 near Abbottstown, Adams Co, Pennsylvania. His father Adam Kinnemund was 31 and his mother Catharine Steffan Kinnemund was 25. He had seven brothers and four sisters. He passed away on May 20, 1882 in his hometown of Abbottstown at the relatively young age of 44. (The 0riginal german spelling of the name was Kuehnemund and this was Anglicized to Kinnemund or Kinneman which is what is shown on his tombstone)∼Co. B 87th PA Inf.
