The angels came for Jo Beth Donaldson on Monday, June 11, 2012; her husband of 63 years, Rex, was holding her hand. Jo Beth Storey Donaldson was born on Sept. 10, 1927, to Joe and Faye Storey in Dalhart, Texas. She married the love of her life on March 17, 1949.

Jo Beth was a devout Christian and a longtime member of Southland Baptist Church which she attended regularly until the last few years of her life due to illness. She was a professional dietitian and a lifelong member of the American Dietetic Association. Upon graduating from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor, she began her career at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple. She held senior positions in many hospitals thereafter, as she followed Rex in his career with many moves along the way.

When it came time to retire, Rex had plans for the golf course and Jo Beth selected tennis as her retirement activity. She loved the game itself, but mainly loved the companionship and friendship of the many women she came to know over the years. She very much enjoyed playing in senior doubles tournaments in the area.

Jo Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Faye Storey and nephew Dean Kelley. She is survived by her husband, Rex, of San Angelo; son Mark of Avon, Colo.; and daughter Jan Tedlie of Neenah, Wis. She is further survived by her five grandchildren that she was so proud of, Dylan Patrick (friend Dannie) Donaldson and Chelsea Leigh Donaldson, all of Boulder, Colo., and Austin Robert Tedlie, Chandler Donaldson Tedlie and Griffin Rex Tedlie, all of Neenah, Wis.

Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, June 15, at Johnson's Funeral Home at 435 W. Beauregard Ave., San Angelo. Graveside service will be conducted by Sr. Pastor Taylor Sandlin and the Rev. Verlin Kelley at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 16, in Fairmount Cemetery, West Avenue N, San Angelo. Casual attire.

The family invites friends to stop by the home after Saturday's graveside service, where a light lunch, provided by the church and friends of the family, will be available until noon. Donations may be made to West Texas Boys Ranch, an organization that Rex and Jo Beth believe in and have supported for many years. Donations may be made online at wtbr.org/onlinedonations.html or by mail at the following address, 10223 Boys Ranch Road, San Angelo, TX 76904. Jo Beth and Rex enjoyed 63 years of married life while raising their two wonderful children. She will be waiting in our Father's arms for Rex to come home one more time
