SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Martha Ann Strickland Burnsed, 96, of Savannah, Georgia, widow of L. G. Burnsed, died Thursday morning, June 14, 2012, at her home.

Born in Daisy, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd W. Strickland and the late Minnie Lee Durrence Strickland. Mrs. Burnsed was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed. She was a longtime member of Savannah Progressive Primitive Baptist Church.

Surviving are one daughter, Faye Burnsed Hobbs (Joe) of Raleigh, North Carolina; two sons, Grady C. Burnsed (Linda) and Terry L. Burnsed (Melinda), all of Savannah, Georgia; five grandchildren, Michael Harrell (Karen), Rebecca Foxworth (Danny), Kristi Jones (Jason), Craig Burnsed (Karen), and Debbie Burnsed, and ten great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock Friday at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.

The funeral service will be held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at Savannah Progressive Primitive Baptist Church conducted by Elder Ronald J. Yeakle. Interment will be in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park – East.
