ALEXANDER--Wesley Donald passed away on Monday, February 12, 2001 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his parents Sam and Velma; brother Robert. Wes is survived by his loving wife and soul mate of forty-seven years, Phyllis, his daughter Lynn (Chuy) Valera of Pense; his sons Fred (Sheila) of Pense and Lorne of Calgary. Cherishing his memory are his five grandchildren: Whitney, Gillian and Justin Valera and Laurie and Byron Alexander; his brothers David, Morley and John; sisters Esther Alexander and Shirley (Gordon) Engstrom; as well as many nieces, nephews and many, many friends. A celebration of Wesley's life will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Ave., Regina with Rev. Jack Oglesby officiating. Interment to follow in Cottonwood Cemetery. Fellowship to follow at Pense Town Hall. In lieu of flowers memorial tributes to the Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit or William Booth Special Care Home would be much appreciated. Wes spent his final months there and the nurses are indeed God's Angels of Mercy. Arrangements in care of Speers Funeral Chapel.
