NEWPORT NEWS - Bertha B. Dorsey, 78, died Monday, April 5, 2010, at Riverside Regional Medical Center.
A native of Surry County, she was the daughter of the late Zack and Susie Dorsey.
Surviving are her son, Michael Dorsey of Newport News; two sisters, Catherine Tynes of Smithfield and Josephine Thompson of Northern Virginia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held noon Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Main Street Baptist Church, Smithfield, Dr. James Harrison Pastor and Apostle Gregory Rogers, officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Ray Cemetery. Viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
