Jill Vittrup Beck, born to Jean and Bill Vittrup on March 14, 1954, spent her entire life in Montgomery County.

Jill was a beautiful blonde with sparkling blue eyes and a loving, infectious spirit. Jill was a 1972 graduate of Conroe High School and earned degrees at Sam Houston State and the University of Houston. She brought literature to life for thousands of students during her 30-year career as an English teacher at The Woodlands High School. Jill loved to travel, garden, read and paint. She wove her adventures into colorful stories with lessons on truth, honor and respect. "My Hometown"

Jill married the love of her life, Bob Beck, on March 12 2005 "Because You Loved Me" The union brought stepchildren Kristen (Brandon) Loftus, and Kevin Beck. Jill was thrilled when grandchildren Owen and Ethan were born. Jill relished the role of grandmother and treasured every moment with the boys. "Teach Your Children."

Many of Jill's best times were cooking, laughing and dancing with her life-long "brother" Jim Stinson. Jill introduced Jim to Karen Collins; when they married and added son J.Travis, Jill became a God mother, a role she cherished with heart and spirit. "Back to Pooh Corner"

Jill welcomed many to her "family" including soul sister Melany (Tom) Lipar and sons Aaron and Joseph; the Huerters, the Hofflands, Tommie West, Janet Emmons and many others. Jill adored "bonus parents" Pauline Hailey and David Crews. "Homeward Bound"

Jill's parents and her adored older brother, Martin, preceded her in death, as well as cherished friend Sheri Box Martin. Jill is survived by brother Tom Vittrup (Christin) and his children Clay and Abby. "We Are Family"

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2012 at Forest Park The Woodlands, 18000 I 45 South, The Woodlands, Texas, 77384.

A celebration of Jill's life will be at 12:30 p.m. before a 2 p.m. service on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Forest Park. Dr. J. Charles Hinds, Jill's trusted advisor, will lead the service.

Jill will be buried next to beloved brother Martin and their parents at Garden Park Cemetery, Conroe.

Pallbearers are Marc Hoffland, Clay Vittrup, Brandon Loftus, Kevin Beck, Aaron Williams, Joseph Butler, J. Travis Stinson and Mark McDermott.

Jill became her best at giving, loving, listening and teaching. She was a Christian who found God's family in many faces and faiths."Weep Not for the Memories."
