Orangeburg - Mary Belle Rousseau Atkinson, 85, of 1000 Live Oak Drive, Orangeburg, died Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, at The Regional Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, in Amos Memorial Chapel at The Methodist Oaks, with the Rev. Kermit Shrawder officiating. Mrs. Atkinson was born in Orangeburg, a daughter of the late William Hamilton and Belle Wyman Mackay Rousseau. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution Orangeburg Chapter and a member of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, William B. Atkinson Sr. of the home; a son, William B. Atkinson Jr. of Collierville, Tenn.; two daughters, Anne A. Hicks of Summerville and Jean A. Binnicker of Orangeburg; and five grandchildren. Friends may call at the residence of Ms. Jean A. Binnicker. Memorials may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association, PO Box 30638, Charleston, SC 29417.
