Louis F. Spieker, 87, of 425 First St., Adell, died this morning at Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient for two weeks.
Mr. Spieker was born Nov. 30, 1894, in the Town of Sherman, son of Emil and Mary Hartwig Spieker.
On April 9, 1917, he married Ida Borkenhagen at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Adell, the first couple to be married in the church. The couple farmed in the Town of Sherman until moving to Adell in 1947.
While in Adell, Mr. Spieker was employed by the Western Condensory Co. until retirement.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Adell, and of Adell Senior Citizens.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Walter of Kenosha; two daughters, Mrs. Harvey (Elinor) Pannier of Rural Random Lake, and Mrs. Melvin (Vera) Mayer of Mequon; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Oscar and Alvin, both of Sheboygan Falls, and Emil of Waldo; and two sisters, Clara Haas of Town of Sherman, and Mrs. Mabel Billmann of Sheboygan Falls.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services for Mr. Spieker will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Adell. The Rev. Herbert Ries, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Adell.
Friends may call at Wilk Funeral Home in Adell from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Monday, and at the church on Monday from noon until the time of services.
A memorial has been established in Mr. Spieker's name for Immanuel Church.
