Award-winning Stage and Motion Picture Canadian Actress. She worked during 50 years on stage, acting and directing several plays, and became one of the first ladys of Canadian Theatre. On stage, she is remembered in "A Streetcar Named Desire," "Look Homeward, Angel" and "Measure for Measure." In cinema, she appeared in "The Changeling" (1980), "Happy Birthday to Me" (1981), "The Lotus Eaters" (1993), and "Never Talk to Strangers" (1995). She also is remembered in TV series "Road to Avonlea" (1989). She died of respìratory complications after an appendix surgery.
