Lela wrote a lot of poetry and loved her garden. She never met anyone she considered a stranger and always had a good sense of humor. Lela served as a nursery worker in the LDS Church for many years.
She is survived by one daughter, Ann Capobianco; one son, Lester Christensen; one sister, Ada Nickolls; 9 grandchildren and many great and great great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Scott; one son, Wayne LeRoy Christensen; and her husband, Wayne J. Christensen.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2006 at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South in Springville. There will be a viewing held at the mortuary Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
