Alice Peacock Murphy June 17, 1935 June 12, 2012 Alice Peacock Murphy, 76, died June 12, 2012 at WellStar Tranquility Hospice in Austell, Georgia. She was retired and a life-long resident of Atmore. She was a seamstress, artist, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and an avid Alabama Crimson Tide football fan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Lavaun Murphy and her parents, E. W. and Eunice Peacock. Cherishing her memory are her daughter Carolyn and Gerald Hust of Winston, Georgia, her granddaughter Chelsea Hust of Winston, Georgia, her sister Glenda P. Greer of Wilmer, her brother Ed and Pat Peacock of Fairhope, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services were held Friday, June 15, 2012, at 10 a.m. from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Buddy Williams officiating. Burial followed in Semirah Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Uriah. The family received visitors at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home on Thursday June 14, 2012, from 6-8 p.m.
