Cordova - Edith Irene Bramblett Baltzegar, 69, of 2083 Legrand Smoak St., Cordova, died Monday, March 12, 2012, at University Hospital in Augusta, Ga., after an extended illness. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 15, at St. John's United Methodist Church in Orangeburg, with the Rev. Fred McDaniel officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg. The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Pallbearers will be family members. She was born April 25, 1942, in Woodruff, the daughter of the late William G. Bramblett and the late Edith Neal Bramblett. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Raymond Larry Baltzegar of Cordova; three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Nick Wallen of Bamberg, Tina and Jason Creech of Cordova, and Susan and Gary Bates of Cope; four grandchildren, Jacob Creech Jr., Justin Bates, Joanna Wallen and Joshua Wallen; two sisters, Mary Dantzler of the Providence community and Joyce Nettles of Anderson; three brothers, Claude Bramblett of Neeses, Bobby Bramblett of Concord, N.C., and William "Pete" Bramblett of Neeses. The family will receive friends at the residence and Thompson Funeral Home Inc. in Orangeburg. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, at the funeral home.
