Jeffrey M. Vinson, 26, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 1:46 p.m. in Franciscan St. Anthony Health - Michigan City, surrounded by many friends and family following a lifelong fight with diabetes.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, IN with Chaplain Lauren Mache officiating. Cremation will follow services.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time Saturday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel.
He was born October 14, 1985 in Michigan City, Indiana to Mark and Julie (Gillette) Vinson. On November 21, 2009 in Michigan City, IN he married Angel Lewis who survives in Michigan City, IN.
Also surviving are a daughter, Carissa Vinson of Michigan City, IN; mother, Julie Gillette-Vinson of Michitan City, IN; father, Mark Vinson of Michigan City, IN; brother, Matthew Vinson of Michigan City, IN; grandparents, Junior and Ruth Vinson of Arkansas, Marjorie Vinson of Michigan City, IN and Wilbur Wedow of Michigan City, IN; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Betty Gillette.
He had worked at Polyfoam Packers.
Jeffrey enjoyed playing baseball and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He was a loving son, husband, father, brother and always made people laugh and smile.
