The Missoulian (Missoula, Mont.), July 4, 1948

Frank grew up on a farm in Sarpy County, Nebraska and as a youth was injured in a farm accident. He ended up having a limp for the rest of his life, which kept him from joining the service, which he really wanted to do. He was never married and had a desire to get out and see the world.

He left Nebraska and worked on farms in Iowa, North Dakota, and eventually Montana.

He was an avid fisherman and it was assumed he stepped into a drop off or lost his footing and the currant was too strong for him causing him to drown.

Miles City, July 3. - (AP) - Authorities seek to identify a man's body found on a Yellowstone river sandbar near here, Sheriff's officers said Saturday.
Undersheriff Fritz Zook said the man was about 50 years old and had been dead about two weeks when found. The body is so decomposed no fingerprints can be taken.
