Charlie Frank Allen was born August 17, 1876 in Lee County , Mississippi and lived in Lee county all his life . His parents were Anderson and Catherine Allen and his siblings were Mary , Anna , and Joseph Allen . ( After Charlie and his siblings became orphans , his brother Joseph was raised by Thomas McMaster and his wife and became known as Joe Thomas Allen ( # 121254617 ) . I haven't discovered for certain yet where Charlie was during that time nor what became of his two sisters Mary and Anna Allen or information about their parents' death . The two brothers Charlie Frank and Joe Thomas Allen and their families in 1900 lived near each other . ) Charlie was a farmer . Charlie Frank Allen married Belle Fowler on November 20 , 1896 in Lee County , Mississippi . Charlie and his first wife Belle Fowler Allen's five children were : Birdie L. Allen Shumpert (wife of Thomas Clifford Shumpert ) , Jessie Allen Morgan ( wife of Guy N. Morgan ) , Will Anderson Allen ( husband of Mittie Lou Priddy Allen ) , Myrtle J. Allen Priddy ( wife of John K. Priddy ) , and Mildred Allen McKinney ( wife of Booker Quitman McKinney ) . The 1900 census for Lee County listed Charlie with his wife Belle Fowler Allen , their daughter Birdie ( born April 16, 1899 ) and 3 nieces May , Lilly , and Lucy Vance .( Annie May Vance married Sale Lopez Armstrong . Lucy Vance married William Allen McMasters . Lillie Vance married Finis R. Bethay . Lucy and Annie Mae and their husbands are buried in Brewer Cemetery in Verona , Ms. in Lee County and are listed on findagrave.com . Their sister Lillie and her husband , also listed on findagrave.com , are buried in New Chapel Cemetery in Itawamba county , Ms. ) In 1910 on the US census in Lee county, Mississippi Charlie and Belle were listed with all five of the children they had together : Birdie , Jessie born August 15 , 1900 , Will born May 7 , 1902 , Myrtle born July 21 , 1906 , and Mildred born August 12 , 1908 . Charlie and Belle's oldest child Birdie married Thomas Clifford Shumpert August 29 , 1916 . Charlie Frank Allen registered for WW I draft registration ( 1917-1918 ) . On that draft registration he claimed four children who still lived at home as his dependents but not his wife because his wife Belle Fowler Allen had died July 4 , 1916 and their daughter Birdie had already married Thomas Shumpert . Charlie in 1920 on the census in Lee County , Mississippi was listed as a widower with these four children still living at home : Jessie , Will , Myrtle and Mildred. Some time after Belle died , Charlie married Annie Mae Price and both were listed together on the 1930 and 1940 census as spouses . Charlie and Annie had one child William Clinton Allen born on August 3 , 1923 . On October 28, 1949 Charlie F. Allen died in Lee County , Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his first wife Belle Fowler Allen and survived by his second wife Annie Mae Price Allen and his children Will , Birdie , Mildred , Jessie , Myrtle , and Clinton .
