Mr. Albrecht was born Aug. 15, 1871 in Germany, the son of Ernest and Marie Albrecht. He was educated in Germany and came to the United States at the age of 19. He came to the Hooppole area when he was 21 years of age. He was engaged in farming most of his lifetime. He was married to Anna Martha Zinser on Jan. 2, 1896 at Hooppole. He was a member of the Zion EUB Church at Hooppole.
Survivors are one son, John Albrecht Sr., Prophetstown; one daughter Mrs. Fred Kroegoert, Annawan; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1935, his parents, four brothers and three sisters
