John E. Tomlinson, 75, of Loretto, R.D., died at 2:30 o'clock yesterday morning of pneumonia at his home. He was born in the home where he resided, June 1, 1858, a son of Joseph and Catherine (Noel) Tomlinson. He married Lucy Strittmatter in 1882. His wife is dead. He is survived by three sons and five daughters, C. J., and W. A. Tomlinson both of Altoona; Mrs. Leo Schen Loretto; Mrs. Edgar Glass, Ebenburg; Mrs. Leo Hoover, Patton; Mrs. William Priore, Pittsburgh and Gerald and Viola, at home. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic church, Loretto, where the funeral services will be held with a requiem mass at 10 o'clock.
