Mrs. Rutland was born in Polk County on August 24, 1899. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Jehue Rutland Sr., on January 31, 1983. She was a member of Lindsey Chapel United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Rutland is survived by one son, Guy Rutland Jr., Cedartown; one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Culp of Decatur; five grandchildren and four nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 28, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home. The Rev. Bob Berrier and the Rev. W. P. Lovett officiated. Interment was in Polk Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers were Joe Rother, Marvin Bentley, Jim Mayben, Bob Lucas, Bill Kinzy and John Odom. Bill Cummings served as an honorary pallbearer.
