Bells were told in all Eden churches on Monday morning in honor of memorial services being held for William L. Blatner, who was killed in action in Germany on Nov 13, 1944. Services were held at the Immaculate Conception Church and interment was in Evergreen Cemetery.

He leaves surviving his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Blatner, a sister, and two brothers.
