Sgt. Craig Frank was a military police officer in the Army National Guard. He was hit in the back by a rocket-propelled grenade as he and fellow soldiers were driving in Beiji, guarding a convoy from Kuwait to north of Baghdad.
Sgt. Craig's tour of duty was to end August 11. He had joined Pontiac's 1776th Military Police Company in 2001, but was sent to Iraq with the 1775th out of Taylor.
