Rites Wednesday for Zelmon Tyree Baby
Jack Warren Tyree, three day old son of Mr and Mrs Zelmon Tyree, died at a local hospital at 7:15 pm Monday.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm Wednesday at Paul U. Lee Funeral Home with Rev. S.A. Freeman, pastor of the Church of Christ in Highlands officiating. Burial will be in Hill of Rest Cemetery.
Survivors besided the parents are two sisters, Linda Lee and Zelma Jane of Baytown; grand parents Mrs. Minnie Tyree of Baytown and Mr and Mrs Albert Patton of Highlands.
Sermon Notes:
David said he would go to the child. He therefore considered it to be with God. Infants and little children have no sin. Sin is the transgression of the law. (1 John3:4) There is no law given to infants, there could be no transgression or sin. Read what Jesus said of little children (Matthew 18:1-4) "of such is the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 19:13-15) They are sinless and pure according to the above.
One might have doubt as to the destiny of a grown person; but not of an infant. They are as pure as the snow flake that trickles down on the mountain side. They go to heaven when they die. The important this is: are we ready to meet them there?
"Does Jesus Care" was sung at the funeral
Inscription reads:
Our Baby, Jack Warren Tyree, Gone to be an Angel.
