Mr. Carl S. Adam, 74, formerly of Sinking Spring, died Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at Phoebe Berks Health Services, in Wernersville, where he had been a resident since October, 2005. Born in Kutztown, he was a son of the late Paul W. and Minnie E. Mohn Adam. He was a graduate of the former Shillington High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1988 as a welder from the Dana Corporation. He was a lifetime member of the Gouglersville Fire Company and the National Rifle Association. He is survived by his brothers, Norman P., Sinking Spring, and Kenneth R., Mineral, Va.; and a sister, Anna M. Mohler, Ephrata. Graveside service will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Wyomissing Cemetery, Gouglersville. Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium Inc., Mohnton, is in charge of arrangements.
