Clarence Sylvester Icenogle, 73, husband of Rena Icenogle, died at 5 p.m. Wednesday at his home, 610 E. 3rd street, after a long illness. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Cline Funeral home. The Rev. J. B. Nicholson, pastor of the Assembly of God church will officiate. Burial will be in the City cemetery. He was born in Schuyler county September 21, 1886, the son of Thomas and Edna Icenogle. He moved to Beardstown in the year of 1904. He was a member of the Assembly of God church. He was married twice. He was preceded in death by one son, Herbert Icenogle. He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Miss Etta Icenogle at home, three sons, Sgt. Ernest Lee of Fort Bliss, Texas, Clarence James and Howard Earl of Beardstown; one step-son, Robert Williams of Beardstown; four grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Dora Jane Briggs of Beardstown; and one brother, the Rev. Emmett Icenogle of Beardstown. Friends may call at the Cline Funeral home from 7 to 9 Friday evening.
