Shaw S. Buck, 89, of 13832 Bay Lake Road, Groveland, Fl, died Friday, November 10, 2000, at Hospice House in Tavares.
Born in Palatka, he spent most of his life in Groveland. He was a high school teacher and coach of all sports and taught from 1937 to 1972. He was also placed in the Coaches Hall of Fame. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Groveland.
Survivors include his wife, Thurma H. Buck of Groveland; son, Shaw K. Buck of Groveland; daughter, Carolie Huber of Winter Park; sister, Rosemary Brunner of Palatka; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 13, 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Groveland with Rev. Randy Mitchell officiating.
Interment follows at 3 p.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery, Palatka.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to Hospice of Lake & Sumter Counties or the Shaw S. Buck Scholarship fund.
