Mrs. America F. Moomaw, 88 years old, passed away at the home of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jessie Moomaw, Wednesday, March 8th, at 11:55 p.m., in Dolton. She was born in Bainbridge, Ohio, on April 16, 1846. She was united in marriage to Nelson B. Moomaw of Bainbridge, September 28, 1864, and settled in London, Ohio. Four children were born to this union, all of whom with the father have preceded her to the grave. She came to Dolton from London, Ohio, after the death of her mother in October, 1908, to make her home with her son and family, the late Albert Moomaw. She was a member of the Dolton M. E. church, a past president of the W. C. T. U. of Dolton, and a devout Christian all her life. She leaves her only grandson, George Moomaw and daughter-in-law Jessie Moomaw, and many friends to mourn her death. Funeral services will be held at the home, 14631 Chicago street, Dolton, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. E. Thompson of Dolton and Rev. A. A. Meyer of Pullman will officiate. Burial at Oak Lawn cemetery, Thornton, Ill.
