Beulah L. Lang, 94

Beulah L. Lang was born September 11, 1915, in Trego County, KS, to the late Charles and Minnie Mae (Jennings) Garvin. She passed away Saturday, May 22, 2010, in the Ellis Good Samaritan Society at Ellis, at the age of 94.

As a young girl, she attended school in Trego County. On July 12, 1938, Beulah was united in marriage to Kenneth Richard Lang in WaKeeney. He passed away June 19, 1981.

Beulah was known as a hard worker. She was a cook in the WaKeeney school system and helped initiate the school lunch programs. After retiring, she worked in local restaurants in WaKeeney.

Those left to mourn her passing are five grandchildren, Crystal Wray, Lester Hanks, Kenneth Hanks, Terri Jacobs, Travis Kifer; nineteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marie Lang.

Those preceding her in death were her husband, Kenneth; a son, Douglas Lang; two daughters, Marian Kifer, Bonnie Joslin; and two grandchildren, Connie Bryant and Troy Kifer.

Services for Beulah were held Saturday, May 29, 2010 in the Schmitt Funeral Home at WaKeeney with Pastor Troy Miller officiating. Inurnment is in the WaKeeney City Cemetery.
