Cpl. Bryant J. Luxmore, 25, New Windsor, Ill., died June 10, in Panjwai, Afghanistan, of injuries suffered when he encountered enemy, small arms fire. Luxmore was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Ga. Corporal Luxmore is the son of Brenda and Leonard Luxmore, husband of Jaimie Luxmore and father of Lane. Bryant entered the U.S. Army in April 2011 and was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division. He married Jaimie Lower on October 8, 2011 and the couple relocated to Fort Stewart, GA to begin their life together with their son, Lane. Bryant was deployed to Afghanistan just two months ago. Survivors include his wife, Jaimie and son, Lane, Hinesville, GA; parents, Brenda and Leonard, New Windsor; brother and best friends, Brock Luxmore and his wife, Melissa, Springfield, IL; in-laws, Joe and Laurie Lower; sisters-in-law, Shannon (Scott) Brown, Tricia (Evan) Price, LeAnn Lower; brother-in-law, Andrew (Courtney) Lower; maternal grandparents, William and Marcia Johnson; paternal grandmother, Donna Jo Luxmore; his wife's maternal grandparents, Jimmie and Patricia Sackville; his wife's paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Kathryn Lower; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Bryant was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bill Luxmore.
