Rice Belt Journal

OBITUARY.

Dura Clements was born in Acadia Parish August 27th, 1899; married January 21, 1919 at Roanoke, La., to Noah Labby; died at her father's residence north of Welsh January 28th, 1920
She is survived by her husband and infant son Lester, also by her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Eular Clements, and one sister.

To the writer immediately before her death she expressed her full faith in Jesus Christ as her personal savior, and her belief that in a fairer world than this she
would meet with her loved ones in the larger house of God not made with hands. She was conscious even when"she touched the dews on Nebron's bank," and the passing to the promised land was very peaceful. In life's early morning, in the full flower of womanhood, with ties that
were very tender binding her to the blessedness of the family circles of earth, she was called to her coronation in a country whose morning sky has no setting sun, and no evening star; where the mist is more upon the glass, and the dew is forever sparkling on fadeless flowers.

A short funeral service was held by the writer at the family residence Wednesday, January 28th. The next day the remains were taken to Branch in Acadia parish and buried in the community cemetery in the neighborhood from which the family came. As on "Pisgahs" top we are standing
looking toward the golden shore Often we think we see them banding, close beside the golden landing, Precious ones who have gone before. waiting to receive us, O'er.
