"Rufus Edson, senior, settled on lot 16, South Survey, in 1816, where he lived until his decease. He was killed by lightning in 1828. The land then passed into possession of his son, Bazaleel Edson, who held it during his life time, and it is now owned and occupied by his son, Elisha B. Edson."
