Dr. Wm. Doornink of Orange City Dies September 15

Dr. William Doornink, 56 of Orange City died at the Methodist hospital after suffering from a heart ailment for several years.

Dr. Doornink was born near Sioux Center on October 15, 1898. He was graduated from Sioux Center high school in 1917, and from the Iowa University medical school in June, 1925. He interned at Franklin hospital and practiced medicines there until his death.

He opened a medical practice in Orange City in July of 1926 and practiced medicine here until his death. For a time he operated Doornink hospital at Orange City.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Gertrude Doornink; a daughter Mrs. Paul Shulhoff of Council Bluffs, a son, James Doornink now in service at Tacoma, Wash., two, grandchildren, Paula Jane Schullhoff and Susan Ruth Doornink.

Other survivors are his mother, Jane Doornink of Orange City, three sisters, Mrs. Sam Punt of Sioux Center, Mrs. Abner Ingebretson of Spokane, Wash., Miss Emma Doornink of Cedar Rapids, lowa and a brother, Elmer of Aberdeen, Wash.
