Will Dyer, 83, died Monday evening after a month's illness at the home of Leland G. Martin, Milford. Services were held this Thursday afternoon at 1 from the Jefferson Methodist church, Rev. Francis Potter officiating. Interment was made in the Jefferson cemetery. He was born April 11, 1860, a son of Seymour and Adeline (Mayhem) Dyer, and Dec. 17, 1882, married Miss Adeline Foote, who died in April, 1939. He resided in Jefferson 35 years and spent about 20 years in Worcester, moving to the Martin home here a few weeks before the death of his wife. He was a member of the Worcester Methodist church. Surviving are a son, James Dyer, Davenport Center; a sister, Mrs. Adeline Fuller, Jefferson, and several nephews and nieces." ["The Cobleskill Index" (Cobleskill, NY), Dec. 30, 1943, Page 6]
