Paulette Kay Pearson, of Lake City, Michigan, formerly of Marquette, Michigan, passed away Monday, June 11, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac, Michigan. She was 63 years old.
Paulette was born on December 5, 1948, to Lial B. and Edith F. (Prielipp) Pearson in Gladwin, Michigan. Paulette enjoyed reading, traveling, working in her vegetable garden, the outdoors, and being near the water. She was very passionate about visiting different libraries. She had a bachelor's degree in education and an associate's degree in business. Paulette always took time to "smell the roses" and enjoyed life to the fullest.
She is survived by her mother, Edith Pearson of McBain; sisters, Delores (Ken) Painter of Owosso, Marilyn (Bill) Yarmak of West Branch; and one brother, Bill (Deb) Pearson of Lake City; nieces and nephews, Chad (Lisa) Painter, Ryan (Heather) Painter, Troy Painter, John (Maria) Pearson, Ben Pearson and fiancée, Leah Mattson, Will Pearson, Jane Pearson; great nieces and nephews, Christopher, AJ, Michael Painter, and Anna Rose Pearson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lial B. Pearson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Young Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rod Kamrath officiating. Burial will be in the Moddersville East Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 12, 2012, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, June 13, 2012, from 10 to 11 a.m.
