THOMAS W. LYON, 91, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Saturday, June 9, 2012 at home.

He was born March 11, 1921 in Mechanicsville, Maryland and moved to Port Charlotte in 1982 from Adelphi, Maryland. Thomas was retired from Eastman Kodak Company and a veteran of World War II, U.S. Coast Guard. He was a member of the Deep Creek Golf Club. He was an avid golfer, having an astonishing "six hole in one's" during his playing days. He was also a member of the Antique Car Club of America and was especially proud of his immaculate 1957 Chevy Belair. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Survived by his loving family, two daughters Cathy (Ed) Dovel of Port Charlotte and Linda (Don) Anders of Olympia, WA; a son, Bruce (Cathy) Lyon of Port Charlotte; 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, who passed away in 1998.

Visitation will be held 10:00 – 11:00 AM Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Roberson Funeral Home, Port Charlotte Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Roberson Funeral Home, Port Charlotte Chapel. Military Honors and interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte.
