1850 Census- Isaiah Phipps is 81 years old (estimated birth is abt. 1769) he is the father of Benjamin Phipps (estimated birth abt. 1810) who was 40 years old and his wife Ann was 39 years old. Also listed are the following children: Female: Elizabeth C. Phipps age 12, Female: Polly E. age 9, Female: Nancy P. age 8, Male: Creed W. age 6, Male: William JW age 5, and Female: Jestin E. age 11 months. This census also states all were born in Virginia. It also states that Benjamin was a farmer.

1860 Census- Benjamin H Phipps is 48 years old, Anna is 45 years old, Elizabeth is 21 years old , Emaline is 19 years old, Pearlina is 17 years old, C Watson is 16 years old, Wm W is 14 years old, Jestin E is 11 years and Benjamin H is 9 years old. The Real Estate value is $9,000.00. And the Post Office was Bridle Creek.

1870 Census- Benjamin Phipps is 58 years old , Elyamy is 58 years old, Evaline is 27 years old, Nancy P. is 26 years old, Wm JW is 21 years old, Jestin is 19 years old and Rush is 17 years old. Elizabeth Young (Phipps) is 30 years old with a daughter named Misty K. 3 years old (real name is Mertie E). There is also a white Male: Shad Dushaye living there who is 16 years old and a farm laborer. And a Black male: George Pugh who is 27 years old also a farm laborer. Post office is now Mouth of Wilson. Value of Real Estate was $8,000.00 and Value of personal estate was $2165.00.00.

1880 Census- Bnejamin H. Phippes is 67 years old, Elina is 67 years old. Benjamin is still a farmer. Emma is now 37 yrs. old. Pauline is 28 yrs. old. Noah R. is 23 yrs. old. Jestin is 21 yrs. old. Elizabeth Young (Phipps) is 40 yrs. old, Myrta (daughter of Elizabeth) is 14 yrs. old. Also living there is a white male: John Sprinkle yrs. old, this census does not state who this child is. A white male: John St. Clair who is 25 yrs. old is listed as a boarder and his occupation is a carpenter, it also list him as single. Also listed is a male:R.J. Shelton who is 60 years old a boarder and a Brick Mason. He is listed as married and his wife is Martha A. who is 47 yrs. old also a boarder, also listed is their son Eugene D. 4 yrs. old and a boarder. The Sheltons were listed as being born in Tennessee, as well as their parents.

1900 census- Benjamin Phipps is 88 years old and listed as Father, Any is listed as Mother ( mother of 7 children and 6 still living ) and her age is 90. The head of the house is now Noah R. Phipps age 48 yrs. old who is a farmer. Also listed is Betsy; I think this is Elizabeth Young (Bettie) because of her age and also because she is listed as being a mother of 1 and number of living children is 0. Mertie her daughter died in 1889 a few months after giving birth to a son, Rush B. Brown. Also listed is: Emma sister age 59, Pearl sister age 58, and Rush Brown nephew who is 10 years old. Rush Brown is Elizabeth's (Bettie Young) grandson from Mertie. Mertie married a John V. Brown from Franklin County, Virginia.
