She was raised in Anchorage and graduated from East Anchorage High School in 1972. She moved to Soldotna after marrying and left Alaska in 1990.
She was a member of Pioneers of Alaska in Soldotna and active with the Assembly of God. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, children and the outdoors.
Mrs. Madden was survived by her husband, Donald, children, Tara, Donald, Brittany and Ashley, all of Billings; parents, Robert and Elizabeth Gray; brother, Robert Gray Jr., and his wife, Sherri; sister, Sandra Breaux, and her husband, Thomas; nieces, Jessica Gray and Larissa Breaux; and nephew, Mitchell Gray; all of Anchorage.
