Edgar D. Cline, 507 North Vine Street, Somerset, died Saturday, Feb 5, 1994, at his residence, following a short illness. He was 79.
Born in the King Bee community November 11, 1914, he was a son of the late Cleophas and Orpha Jane Warren Cline. He was a retired carpenter and farmer, and was of the Nazarene faith.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Lee Hodge Cline, whom he married September 28, 1938; four sons, Darrell Dean, L.E. Ray, and Larry Brent Cline, all of Somerset; two daughters, Iva (and Charles) Stogsdill, Somerset, and Carolyn (and Mike) Ballou, Bronston; three brothers, Prentiss Cline, Somerset, and Vestal and Cleamon Cline, both of Arlington, Ind.; two sisters, Sarah Kennedy, Arlington, and Faye Wesley, Science Hill; nine grandchildren, Sandra Roher, Danny Cline, Gary Cline, Christy Cline, Debbie Wesley, Tony Stogsdill, Robyn Ferguson, Jonathan Cline, and Brandon Ballou; and three great-grandchildren, Jonathan Wesley and Shawn and Shanna Kleinheitz.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gerald Lee Cline; three brothers, Columbus, Beecher, and Ralph Cline; and two grandchildren, Dwayne Cline and David Louis Cline.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel of New Brothers Funeral Home with the Revs. A.A. Farris and Ronald Freeland officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Science Hill. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
