Miss Eva Mae Rice, 68, died Monday night at St. Joseph's Hospital Medical Center, where she had been a patient since Feb. 27. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Stensel's Funeral Home, the Rev. Robert Swain officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. She was born Sept. 10, 1907, in rural Heyworth, a daughter of William W. and Minnie Hendryx Rice. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Marie Pray, LeRoy; a brother, Eugene, Taylorville, and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. She was a member of the LeRoy United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of LeRoy High School and Illinois State Normal University. She taught for many years in McLean County and also at Morton before she retired. She was a member of the Friendly Neighbors' Club and the Woman's Relief Corps. -May 3, 1976
