Alvin Clinton Thompson, Jr., 48 of White Oak, died Saturday, May 8, 2004 at Fairfax Hospital. He was a member of Kings Highway Baptist Church and the Fredericksburg Eagles Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Thompson; his son, David Crabtree of the home; three daughters, Crystal Thayer of the home, Kathy Sullivan of Louisa, and Cassandra Hanna of Spotsylvania; his mother, Leola Thompson of Fredericksburg; five grandchildren, Stacey and Ronnie Thayer and Zachary Thompson all of the home, Cheyenne and Cassidy Crabtree of Stafford; three brothers, Elvin Thompson of Fredericksburg, Ricky Thompson of Spotsylvania, and Chuck Thompson of Stafford; three sisters, Marie Canter of Stafford, Marlene Thompson of Fredericksburg, and Louise Taft of Massachusetts; and a former daughter-in-law, Samantha Crabtree of Stafford.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clinton Thompson and two brothers, Wayne and Kenny Thompson.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, at Covenant Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Ron Thayer officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 11 at the funeral home.
